KarenSoft achieves ISO 9001:2000
TheEdge Daily, Tuesday, May 10, 2005
Enterprise solutions provider KarenSoft Technology Berhad has achieved ISO 9001:2000 certification by Moody International.
KarenSoft executive chairman and chief executive officer Chee Chong Hwa said the KarenSoft brand would be enhanced by adopting internationally recognised quality management system.
He said the company was focussed on process improvement in order to improve its operational efficiency and profitability. He said with the ISO 9001:2000, KarenSoft would be at least on par with Level 2, CMMI accreditation.
“We can now proceed to obtain the attainment of Level 5, CMMI certification,” he said. CMMI is a process improvement method that provides a set of best practices that addresses productivity, performance, costs and stakeholder satisfaction.
Other areas that are addressed by the CMMI are the provision of competitive world-class products and services, as well as the use of common, integrated and improved processes for systems and software.
