KarenSoft introduces RFID-capable KarenSoft ERP 2005
TheEdge Daily, Tuesday, January 3, 2005

KarenSoft Technology Bhd has made available its new mission critical application, KarenSoft ERP 2005, which comes with enhanced features and a new look.

In a statement on Dec 31, KarenSoft executive chairman and chief executive officer, Chee Chong Hwa said the new KarenSoft ERP 2005 would enhance user-friendliness.

"The RFID-capable ERP 2005 will have useful features such as ATP (available to promise), RosettaNet integration, lot tracking, set concept etc.

"This underscores KarenSoft's commitment as the leading local provider of branded ERP solutions," he said.

Chee said the newly-launched KarenSoft ExecSuite Enterprise Edition was scaleable to the new ERP 2005.

"KarenSoft ExecSuite, touted as the one software you'll ever need, is a suite of powerful desktop applications for the business and home users.

"It offers a cost-effective suite of desktop productivity applications range from personal organiser, administrative, HRM, CRM tools, spreadsheet, word processor, email and internet functionalities and much more," he said.

Chee said the ExecSuite was designed specifically to help increase user productivity and meet the needs of both enterprise and individual users.

"It also permits seamless document exchange to and from other common business applications (such as Microsoft Office)," he said.

He added that KarenSoft EGS Sdn Bhd (KEGS), a recently incorporated subsidiary, would spearhead KarenSoft's foray into e-government solutions in the next couple of years.

"Since inception, KEGS have successfully developed its own KarenSoft Content Management System while the KarenSoft Payment Gateway System is under development and scheduled to be rolled-out by third quarter, 2005," he said.

With this, Chee said KarenSoft was strategically well positioned to move forward and he was confident on the outlook for year 2005.
