KarenSoft gets ISO 9001:2000 certification

KARENSOFT Technology Bhd (KarenSoft), which is listed on Malaysian Exchange of Securities
Dealing and Automated Quotation Bhd, has received the ISO 9001:2000 certification by Moody
International.
KarenSoft executive chairman/chief executive
officer Chee Chong Hwa said it is part
and parcel of the company's commitment
to ensure its operations and services
quality are "within and perhaps exceed
the accepted standards".
"We are proud to have achieved the ISO 9001:2000 certification as we are currently focused
on process improvement in order to improve our operational efficiency and profitability.
By adopting an internationally recognised
quality management system, the KarenSoft
Brand will surely be enhanced", he said
in a statement released in Kuala Lumpur.
With the certification, Chee said KarenSoft can now proceed with the attainment of Level 5,
CMMI certification. Best practices that address productivity, performance, costs and
stakeholder satisfaction.
Organisations are aided in improving their performance, and collaborate with external
stakeholders to manage their expectations. Other areas that are addressed by the CMMI are
the provision of competitive world-class products and services, as well as the use of,
common, integrated,and improved processes for systems and software.
