KarenSoft targeting RM2.5mil sales via partnership with Thai firm StarBiz, Saturday, September 04, 2004 ENTERPRISE solutions provider KarenSoft Technology Bhd is targeting RM2.5mil sales over the next 12 months through its partnership with Thailand consultation company, SI Management Consultants Co Ltd. KarenSoft signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Thursday to formalise the alliance for the marketing of KarenSoft ERP2 product in Thailand and promoting training programmes of the system. KarenSoft ERP2 is an e-business solution comprising seven cycles – sales distribution, materials requirement planning, logistic management, planning and production, financial accounting and fixed assets, human resources information and customer relationship management. “This collaboration will bring tremendous benefits in our joint effort to promote application technologies, particularly to more than 2,500 local manufacturing enterprises in Thailand,” executive chairman and chief executive officer Chee Chong Hwa said. Speaking after the MoU signing, Chee said Thailand would provide a market worth RM375mil for the KarenSoft ERP2 system. KarenSoft had recently penetrated the China market and hoped to deliver its product to about 1,500 local manufacturing companies there in the next three to five years. Moving forward, Chee said KarenSoft planned to launch its new product by the fourth quarter this year. The product was expected to contribute 10% or RM40mil to group turnover by the end of next year, he added. – Bernama
