KarenSoft Partners Malaysia Furniture Entrepreneur Association (MFEA) to provide ERP2 Solutions to its Members.
Kuala Lumpur - 19 July 2004 - MESDAQ Market-listed KarenSoft Technology Berhad (KarenSoft) is set to partner with Malaysian Furniture Entrepreneur Association (MFEA) to promote the KarenSoft ERP2 (Extended Enterprise Resources Planning) solution to 2,000 plus MFEA members with the signing of a memorandum of understanding between both parties today.
MOU was signed by Mr. Lim Yong Keong on behalf of Secretary General and witnessed by Mr. Steven Tan, Deputy President of MFEA, while KarenSoft Executive Chairman/Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Chee Chong Hwa signed on behalf of KarenSoft.
MFEA aims to collaborate with KarenSoft to introduce ERP2 (ERP+CRM) solutions to its members via seminars and roadshows to be organised at specific intervals. MFEA seeks to harness the technology developed by KarenSoft and bring it to the service of its members in Malaysia.
Mr. Lim Yong Keong said "Malaysia currently export to 160 countries including US, UK and Japan and ranks number 11th amongst the world's top furniture exporting nation. He urged local furniture manufacturer to increase their competitiveness via ERP2 adoption as China, ranked number 4 is fast becoming a threat and also to capitalise on the vast market expansion opportunities in the Middle East."
He added that the association recognised the importance of technology applications such as KarenSoft ERP2 in improving the industry's competitiveness. KarenSoft was chosen to be the preferred ERP2 vendor due to its solutions suitability, modularity, cost effectiveness as well as its position as the leading ERP2 solutions provider in Malaysia.
He further added that at least 10 % of MFEA members would have the budget to implement the KarenSoft ERP2 solution.
Chee said, "This timely collaboration between MFEA and KarenSoft to promote KarenSoft ERP2 to MFEA members will bring tremendous benefits by encouraging more furniture manufacturer to adopt technology in their customer relationship management, supply-chain management, financial and human resources management processes and thus increase their global competitiveness. "
He added that the adoption of the cost-effective KarenSoft ERP2 encourages and enforces enterprise-wide integration, avoids work duplication, thus reducing overall labour costs; promotes timely and quality delivery to customers; lowers inventory costs and ultimately promotes competitiveness via lower costs and improving customer satisfaction.
MFEA is a trade association incorporated in Malaysian, initiated by 11 state furniture associations to promote the interest of Malaysian Furniture Industry in the national and international arena.
