KarenSoft To Distribute ExecSuite In Dubai, India, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia
Kuala Lumpur - 15 December 2004 - MESDAQ Market-listed KarenSoft Technology Berhad (KarenSoft) is set to market KarenSoft ExecSuite to the SMIs/SMEs and consumers with the signing of a distributorship agreement and MoUs with three of its appointed authorized distributors and OEM manufacturer today.
A distributorship agreement and two MoUs was signed between KarenSoft and Budget Mode Sdn Bhd represented by managing director, Mr Andrew Choong, Sage Capital Sdn Bhd represented by Chief Operating Officer, En Azman Elis and Target Distributions Sdn Bhd represented by Business Development Director, En Fazham Bin Talib respectively while KarenSoft Executive Chairman/Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Chee Chong Hwa signed on behalf of KarenSoft.
Mr Chee said "With the appointment of two OEM's manufacturer such as Target and Sage, ExecSuite is expected to penetrate India, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Dubai market soon. Both partners aim to bundle at least 6,000 copies each of ExecSuite with their brand of products".
He added that the Budget Mode Sdn Bhd have indicated a first order of RM1.5 million worth of ExecSuite. On 27th November 2004, KarenSoft and SMI Association of Malaysia signed an MoU to promote ExecSuite to its members. In the next few months, we expect to sign up at least eight distributors in Malaysia.
Chee said " According to SMIDEC statistics, there are more than 41,000 registered SMIs/SMEs compared to the more than 700,000 companies registered with the Companies Commission of Malaysia" For 2005, we are targeting to capture a market share of at least 5% to 10 %. As at todate, two dealers preview roadshow have been held. To date we have recruited approximately 200 dealers in Peninsular Malaysia alone. He further revealed that there was positive interest in KarenSoft ExecSuite from countries such as Singapore, Australia, Thailand, Hong Kong, Philippines, Middle East including Iran and China
According to Chee, KarenSoft ExecSuite (with Microsoft Word and Excel compatibility) comes in three editions. The Lite Edition is targeted at new PCs/Notebooks (estimated to be about 375,000 per annum) by OEMs while the Standard Edition is for the approximately 1.9 million PCs purchased since 1997.
In addition, the Enterprise Edition, a mini-ERP solution is priced below RM 10,000 and is the ideal entry-level solution for more than 50 % of the SMI population whose total IT budget is less than RM 20,000 for both hardware and software.
