New KarenSoft products to boost market reach
TheEdge Daily, Wednesday, May 12, 2004
Mesdaq-listed KarenSoft Technology Berhad is set to make its presence felt in China, Iran and Thailand via new product launches.
Its executive chairman and chief executive officer Chee Chong Hwa said the company already had a presence in Yangzhou, China through the recently set up KarenSoft China Venture Sdn Bhd, which would spearhead its investment there.
"With the recent signing of MoUs with our Iranian partner, Simaye Sharif, KarenSoft is now set to have a firm footing in the Middle East market," he said this after its AGM recently.
He added that the recently developed KarenSoft membership-based enterprise resource planning (ERP) system with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) would help the company to enter these markets given its market potential here and overseas. Chee said KarenSoft had already targetted six new customers for this application.
KarenSoft has rolled out its first RosettaNet ready project which can integrate with any ERP system via KarenSoft's adapter, and Chee said there were about 60 local companies looking into using the solution.
